I look to my farmers markets for inspiration when I have a project to do; farmers like Sage Mountain always help me out~
It's time to put a new wreath on the front door, so I found this one in the basement~
after a run by Sage yesterday at the Rancho Santa Fe Market, I got to work on the wreath, between sales~
I ended up nixing the winter squash, and the wreath needs a little more work, but here is how it looked at the end of the day~
I don't know how long the pieces will last, maybe everything but the red peppers will be last; I could varnish the apples, but I just leave everything just as I bought it~
I added in some pieces of moss to make it look less "dead & dry."
I'm doing Apples & Antlers for Christmas, but I will wait another month or so to do that. Tomorrow I will show you how this same door looks in Romantic Homes Magazine's Holiday 2010 issue; my home-made boxwood wreath is on the two leading pages. Did I mention, we are on the cover of this issue...I am thrilled!!!

Love the wreath! I should dig around in my basement and find my autumn wreath. I forgot all about it until I was admiring yours. The moss makes such a nice background for the beautiful produce.
