Rancho Santa Fe Market Opens

French Basketeer was one of the initial vendors in the Rancho Santa Fe farmers market, which opened today; it was a very well-organized market, including having the market space outlined in perma-paint in the parking lot;

The market is just starting and will grow and fill out as all markets do. It was a great sales day for me though, no matter that the market is still developing. My neighbor across the way is Allyson, dba Magnolia from Telmecula; she does amazing floral arrangements and trained in France... more on Allyson later....
She had these great proteas:
Every market is so different, and this one is significantly more restained than, for example, Palisades, but then, everything is pretty over the top in Palisades. Today we had the mushrooms measured out into cute little baskets:
But the Coconut Carrot Cupcakes were amazing....per my parents.....
And other sweets...all gluten free....
The market is across the street from a large horse racetrack, and not far from Del Mar racetrack; it's a lovely, no-stress place for a market. On the way home you could see the fields of mustard in bloom....
When I got home, I found that Biscuit and Honey had taken all the dirt and flower bulbs out of the pots in the alcove, and they spread dirt all over the dining room! Biscuit is getting furrier by the day, as her rough coat comes in. Here is my little dirt devil:
